Free drama workshops for Whangārei rangatahi led by the Mind Over Manner acting team!

These workshops will enable our Rangatahi to explore self-expression and identity through theatre. The leaders of the workshop (Rupene, Tyler and Millie) will be listening and leaning in to find creative ways to connect to each of the Rangatahi.

The leaders will apply the methods that sit at the core of our Mind Over Manner mahi. The drama games will be designed with the teaching of specific concepts:
– finding true connection
– learning about flexibility in a group setting,
– understanding relationship reciprocity – generosity and manaakitanga
– finding full expression in a topic that interests you,
– engaging in mana-enhancing games
– experiencing appreciation of the different energy that each and everyone brings into the room.

Through these drama games, story and waiata the rangatahi will enjoy the opportunity to express themselves in their own particular way, make connections in a setting that brings the mana of each and every participant to the fore, and share kai.

Mentors and whanau are welcome to attend as support.

Up to 3 hours with breaks for kai and relaxation. If rangatahi require their own timeframes they are welcome to step in and out – alongside their support person).
