Maggie Cocco (she/her) is an American musician, composer and educator whose passion and skill has taken her across the world and through many genres of music. Maggie received her bachelors in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Oakland University. Under the tutelage of Deborah Blair – co-creator of Exceptional Pedagogy For Children With Exceptionalities: International Perspectives – and Jackie Wiggins – Teaching for Musical Understanding – Maggie has developed a dedicated skillset to match her passion for the unique function of music in society.
With more than ten years experience as a professional session musician, frontperson, backing vocalist, and independent touring artist, Maggie has performed on the world’s largest and smallest stages. She is passionate about sharing knowledge and fostering growth within communities and the next generation of musicians.
Bring your questions and vocal hangups. In this workshop we will talk about developing your relationship with your voice, how to treat and use it as an instrument, and developing your unique sound.
