Experience the creative energy of mana wāhine in this collaboratively devised dance work in development, directed by Gabrielle Thomas. ŪKAIPŌ is an exploration of movement influenced by a mother’s power to manifest life. Like Puanga is to Matariki, mothers are the guiding star for their pēpi. The modern landscape they navigate, full of quirks and qualms, ignites a desire to connect back to whakapapa and whenua. Watch the contemporary storytelling of these wāhine toa come to life through the eclectic art form of contemporary dance. Starring local performers Stormy Kay, Jenn Ruka, Jess Collins, Jan Fisher & Jasmin Fisher-Johnson.

This is a koha event. Choose your koha via ticket type or opt to koha on the day.
