Its that time again!! Springboard Youth Music is back for round 3!!

This gig gives talented up and coming youth bands a chance to play in a safe, fun and supportive environment. This year we have favourites Basement and Ready, Set! making a return alongside Tāmaki Makaurau indie rock sensations Fan Club!! Here is a little blurb about each act 🙂

Basement: We’re Basement, a band from Whangārei, who enjoy playing pop/rock/reggae tunes. Our singer is Amy Wallace, we have Nick Merry on the drums, Kate Bradley on lead guitar, Alex Horwood on bass, and Rohit Rajaraman on keys. We’ve played gigs at 116 before and music is something we’re all very passionate about. We play to have fun, and we want to share that experience with you.

Ready, Set!: Heya We’re Ready, Set! A kickass band of young, dedicated musicians looking to blow your socks off. We play all kinds of music ranging from Hard Rock to Indie/ Alternative. In 2023 we won the Northland regional Rockquest and recently we opened for Sir Dave Dobbyn at the Northland Fritter Festival. So you have got alot to look foward to!! We can’t wait to play at Springboard III!!

Fan Club: These guys have been making waves in the New Zealand music scene ever since they started around 2022. From winning the 2023 Auckland regional Rockquest final to earning over 200,000 streams on Spotify. “Both their recorded work and their exciting live shows bring a fresh blend of edgy guitar, tight rhythm section and soulful vocals, giving them a catchy sound that’s all their own.” We are so so soooo excited to see Fan Club play on Whangarei soil for the first time ever!!

Doors will open at 5pm, Gig starts at 5:15pm the last chord will be hit at 8:30pm (ish). Food and soft drinks will be avaliable via the ONEONESIX bar.
