Lead by local musicians Scott Wynne and Jesse Samu (Otium), this three day intensive aims to provide guidance, resources and mentorship to young artists and bands wanting to build a career in music. The course is aimed at musicians / songwriters aged 14 – 19 and the first workshop will cover Song writing, arrangement and production (recording) and live performance.

The main focus of the workshop is to aid in developing song writing processes and help find the unique voice and style of each artist. Artists will work towards recording a demo of completed works.

Friday 2nd October 5.30 – 7pm
Saturday 3rd October 10am – 5pm
Sunday 4th October 10am – 5pm

The fee for this course is $50.

Follow up Program – Artists will also have the opportunity to opt into a follow up program which provides broader mentorship around building and sustaining a career in music. This will be tailored to the artist and can include branding, event promotion, production and recording, networking, song writing and all other aspects of the NZ music industry. Includes regular catch ups with facilitators, artists and other mentors within the local and national music scenes.
