Sorry For Your Loss
A heartfelt and hilarious story about growing up on the mean streets of Aotearoa (New Zealand) with a sometimes-there-mostly-not Dad. Cian Parker shares her story about reclaiming her heritage when she is unexpectedly introduced to a father and a family she didn’t know existed.
Parker has teamed up with director and dramaturg Laura Haughey who brings her unique physical approach to storytelling in this vibrant, award-winning piece of devised theatre.
Sorry For Your Loss is about the power of wāhine (women); and the gift of strength from one woman to another.
Live music by Andy Duggan accompanies the performance.
“We saw ‘Sorry for Your Loss’ in Kirikiriroa last year and loved it. Cian is a powerful and nuanced performer, and has crafted a delicate and deeply affecting show. It’s a beautiful piece of theatre.”
