Fiddle workshop

1-2pm: Slow

Cost: $15 per student

Come and learn to play fiddle tunes by ear! Suitable for all ages.

What to bring: Your instrument and a recording device (phone).

Join a group workshop based on your skill and speed level – traditional tunes and techniques are taught step by step, by ear only, without sheet music. All instruments welcome but will be fiddle-focused.

Slower learners: Should be familiar with the violin, with bow control and able to play in keys with sharps (i.e., not suitable for absolute beginners). Should be able to play simple melodies at a slow pace.

Medium learners: More comfort with the fundamentals of the violin, looking to learn tunes at a slow to medium pace.

Fast learners: Comfortable with learning by ear, experienced players keen to learn and pick up more complex and modern tunes.


Irish Dance

1 -2pm: 0-5 Mums & bubs

2-3pm: 6-8yrs

3-4pm: 9-12yrs

4-5pm: All ages – Ceili Class

Cost: $15 per student or $20 if you want to attend both the dance workshop and the Ceili Class.

Learn the basics of traditional Irish Dancing! This is suitable for all ages.

0-5 years – Mum & Bubs class will be about learning the fundamentals and getting a sense of what Irish Dancing is.

6-8 years – Will be about learning the basics of Irish Dance and understanding how to do consecutive skills one after the other in a dance.

9-12 years – Will learn the fundamental skills of Irish Dance and how to do a beginner reel with music.

Ceili Class will learn the basics of Irish Dance and learn a fun group ceili dance performed together.

What to bring: Sneakers/running shoes, clothing you are comfortable moving in, socks, or dancing shoes (Irish or ballet, or send an email to check if what you have is suitable).
