Adrift at sea, Richard and Luigi brave the seasons and days together as they progressively make their way toward the horizon. Will they give into the waves and let the ocean consume them or will they push through to see another day?

‘HORIZON’ is an attempt to be a voice in the dark, a sunset on the horizon (HA!) for people who feel they’re lost, drifting in a sea they have no say over. It’s a crying call to the void.

This is the type of show that can be viewed by almost anyone. It is written and produced by young adults, so the jokes, references, etc. will be the most relatable for that age group. However, the message this show brings (beyond the comedy) is important for all ages to hear, so the wider the age-range we reach the better. We, without a doubt, encourage our young adults to bring their parents and grandparents! We think this show holds a message best shared.

We wouldn’t say that this show is ‘for kids,’ but that’s not to say parents can’t bring them! There is some coarse language, but if parents are okay with that, we think this show and its comedy will be able to entertain them.

Curated by young emerging artists, this performance is in it’s workshop stage. We hope to develop and expand the piece and are looking for audience feedback to aid our process.

“You matter, this matters, we matter, love matters, and you are worth the effort, time and energy it will take to get better.”

If we have any strong testimony, it’s the truth that it does get better. Everywhere. Always.

Performed and directed by Charly Baker and Rose McKenzie. Written by Nathan King.
