Robert will be performing a selection of songs from The Clean, The Bats, The Magick Heads and his solo career from 1980 to the present day.
Robert’s first trip to the Far North was in 2018 when he was invited to exhibit his paintings at Hangar Gallery. Gallery owners, Megan Corbett and Baz Squire, played a vital part in bringing Dunedin-born Robert so far north. As well as hosting the art exhibition, they arranged for Robert to perform at ONEONESIX that same night for a wonderful crowd.
Encouraged by the great response from that trip, Robert didn’t hesitate when asked to return and do it all again.
His art exhibition of recent paintings titled ‘Assortment,’ will open June 2, at Hangar Gallery (14 Cross Street). Then, he’ll have a week up his sleeve for visiting places further north before performing at OneOneSix on June 9.
